CIAO TUTTI!

I'm 20!!! No longer a teen ha it's pretty crazy to think about. Thanks for all of your birthday wishes and packages and cards you guys are so awesome ' love you all so much! Especially thank you for the sweedish fish, those are my FAVORITE! But really though you guys made my birthday so wonderful thanks so much.

This week was pretty good, we had some really good lessons with a few investigators but we didn't get to have a lesson with our super elect investigators because they were sick but they called us yesterday to set up an appointment for Friday!! :) so wish us luck! The members were so cool for my birthday they are awesome! Sunday they all wished me a happy birthday and the stake president got me a giant cake lol. Then the bishops wife invited us over yesterday for lunch out of the blue and they fed us BBQ chicken burritos and cookie brownies and a sugar fruit desert it was soooooo good. (Not going to lie it kinda made me miss American food lol). Well not too much has happened this week work size, it was pretty average but it's always a great time here in Lugano.

Well thanks for all the bday wishes! You guys are the best!!! Love you all! ciao :)

SWITZERLAND IS SPOILING ME!

Ciao Ciao!

Hey guys thanks for all of the birthday wishes! I just got Granna and Bompa's Birthday letter that they sent me in the mail hahaha it was pretty good i liked it a lot :) It had the Duck Dynasty guy on it and had a funny little quote :) Thats so cool that kyle is going on his mission he is going to love it! Wow, it is super crazy to hear about Mckenzie Galvan soon to be married! Time really has flown hahah thats awesome though im sure you guys had a great time at her shower! Dang the basement looks trashed by the way i keep looking back at the pictures... thats gotta create a pretty big hole in the wallet. But on a better note, dallin YOU ARE A STUD for getting first place in your track and field day! Tu sei troppo bravo fratellino mio!

Well, this week was pretty great! it was pretty good we got two BAPTISMAL DATES! They are the referral couple that have been SUPER interested and have been coming to church and actually reading on their own outside of lessons (which is pretty rare, unfortunately). They are awesome, they asked me what my favorite meal was and of course i said lasagna so they invited us over for dinner last saturday and we had a great lesson, invited them to baptism, they accepted, and we finished it off with a delicious meal :) Doesnt get much better than that.

So yesterday we had a zone conference with president dibb and 1 of the other milan zones and it was very good i enjoyed it a lot. President Dibb wants us to work harder on getting referrals from the members by inviting them to talk with people that they know over to their house for fhe or some other church activity. He wants us to try to do role plays with the family and help them out on how to invite their friend over because sometimes it can be really intimidating. so we are going to give that a shot :)

Well, thanks for the updates and pictures! And thanks for the Birthday wishes you guys are the best!

By the way i hope you guys are updating my facebook... for reals though if your not get on it! :) love ya guys! Ciao!

Another Good Week

Buon Giorno Tutti!

Thanks for all of the letters and pictures! The tennis tournament that you guys went to must have been crazy cool being that close! There are tennis courts everywhere in italy and switzerland by the way. I like the pictures that dad sent me of dallin with his pellet gun shooting the bird off the roof hahaha! nice shot! Its good to hear that you guys are all having a good time and doin well :)

So this week we didnt get as many lessons as the last but we still did very well. We are still working hard with two of our investigators that are very very into this gospel and both want to get baptized. They came to church AGAIN this last sunday and really had a great time. The husband revealed to us that when he was speaking to bishop the first sunday his eyes were opened (spiritual sense) and he saw a "glowing figure" standing by bishop and right then he knew that this church is the right road for him to follow. HOW COOL RIGHT?!?!

Well thanks for all of your emails and i cant wait to hear from all of you next week! Vi Voglio BENE! Ciao Cari!

GREAT WEEK!
Ciao Tutti,

Thanks for the news updates! I cant wait to go to see the new gilbert temple you guys are so lucky you got to go! It is such a temptation to go to the Switzerland temple since it is really close by... a major bummer that i cant go to the temple for 2 full years :/ For my bday present you guys should all call president Dibb and tell him to let us go to the temple hahaha ;)

What a great week! We have really had a lot of success here in lugano this week. We had 15 lessons, got 4 new investigators (2 of which went to church this last sunday and really enjoyed it). MIRACLE WEEK. We are really working hard and its finally really starting to pay off :) My new companion and i get along really well and im really looking forward to this transfer to see how much we can get done! I absolutely love the ward here in Lugano the members are all so elect. They all are so eager to help out us missionaries as much as possible whether its finding referrals, coming to lessons with us or cooking us AMAZING food. Lol speaking of members cooking us food, we literally just now got a text message from the ward saying how they have already come up with a plan for who is going to cook for us missionaries and on what day... looks like i dont need to do shopping this week ha. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT HERE!

Ok to clear up any of the misunderstandings i live in italy because i do NOT have an italian passport. Only people with italian passports can LIVE in Switzerland. And now that the mission just bought a new apartment in pontechiasso, where i live which is 5 min from the border, American missionaries can now serve in Lugano.

Well, Lugano is as Beautiful as ever. We saw a little bit of snow doing pass-bys in the mountains the other day. We had a little fun throwing snowballs at each other (I taught Anziano Oz how to throw lol). Next P-day we are planning on going up to Bellinzona to see all the Castles since we didnt get to today so ill send you guys some good pictures next week :)

Vi Voglio Tantissimo Bene! Rimanete forti e andate avanti con la vostra fede salda per questo vangelo MERAVIGLIOSO. Ciao Belli!

Much Love,
Anziano Delgado

LUGANO!
Hey fam!

LUGANO is GORGEOUS and sooooooo CLEAN! I am absolutely in love with this place. the area is HUGE and pretty much all surrounded by gorgeous mountains with snow on the tops of them and then a giant lake called Lake Como at the base of the mountains and in the center of the city. Ill send you guys some pictures you will absolutely love it! The CHOCOLATE is DELICIOUS. I am eating some right now as im writing this actually haha. Everything here is like italy but 10x more clean/beautiful. by the way its kinda hard learning swiss... but im getting the hang of it... ;)

Oh hey, by the way, you sent me a message sounding like you thought i opened this city... im not opening this city, im just the first AMERICAN to be serving here after a bunch of years. there have always been people serving here from though if they have a European passport.

So my companion is way cool and has the most AWESOME Auzzy accent (although it is pretty americanized by now ha). He is in his 10th transfer and his italian is way good and he is helpin me out quite a bit on the hard grammer rules.

I absolutely love the ward here! They are the absolute BEST! The bishop is american and he runs the church like im used to in america with sacrament being the first hour and so on. the ward has maybe 70 members which is a nice change. Sunday we got invited to eat over at another american family's house who are from Texas. They fed us TEXMEX TACOS!!!! They were soooo good. and they were such a nice and FUN family.

So the work here isn't much better than it was going in la spezia so we decided that a good place to start is with the members here and see if we can't get any referrals :)

Well, its going great here in the mission im absolutely loving it. the people are amazing. ill start sending you guys some pictures of lugano and como so you guys can get a little taste of how it is here on my side of the globe :) love you all so much and cant wait to hear from you next week!
