Hey everyone!
Ok! so this week has been sooo great! We are having lessons left and right its crazy! We actually had a really great experience with an investigator who we taught the first week but because of health issues and issues with work she hasnt been able to meet since. so saturday night around 11 as we were getting in bed (in summer time we go to bed at 11 instead of 10 30 and wake up at 7 instead of 6 30) and saying our prayers, including our investigators as always, we got a text message from her saying, "hi sorry i havent been able to meet with you but i just want to let you know that i still want to be baptized on the 31st of august and i am able to start meeting with you again since things are starting to clear up." We looked at each other, still on our knees from praying, and were just in shock speachless. it such a cool miracle! we have planned to meet with her tomorrow so we'll see how that goes and we are going to teach her the plan of salvation with our cut outs that we made that really help a lot. Unfortunately we have to tell her that she needs to attend church a few times before she can be baptized, but she is so solid so im sure it wont be a problem!
Also another miracle was with the lady from
ghana which i told you about a couple letters back who had the really cool
story of how she found the church. so we were going to have a lesson with her
but before the lesson we invited her to come to a baptism which was being held
for a boy from another district but had to go to brescia and use our baptismal
faunt. she said of course! and during it she said she felt so great and
peaceful. afterward we had a lesson with her about the gospel of christ, which
is faith, repentance, baptism and recieving the holy ghost, and perservering to
the end. We were doing so great and answering all of the questions that she
had. but it was so cool because as we would be talking about each of these
things she would tell us a story of how she has seen and acted upon them in her
life! And the craziest thing was as she was telling us her testimony of these
things she started pretty much quoting scriptures in the book of mormon, and
she hasnt even read but a couple chapters in 1 Nephi! I had the biggest smile
and it seriously would not go away for so long because of how strong her
testimony is. Also, while i was talking to her about the Holy Ghost and what it
does for us she stops me mid sentence and says, "Oh!, im going to take out
my lip piercing. i know my body is a temple and i know that i need to take it
out so im going to tonight." it was so awesome but caught me way off guard
because we had never even mentioned it since we've only had few lessons with
her. we were just like, "..... thats great!" haha i was so caught of
guard so i didnt know what to say! but then we talked a little bit about how
that is such a good decision and how our bodies really are temples and how we
should respect them. So then when she came to church sunday she asked us if we
noticed anything different and her piercing was gone! i was so happy, she is so
amazing!
Well, those our my miracles of the
week! we have so many good lessons and experiences though, everyday there is
some sort of miracle no joke. So dad! monday we went to the city in our area
with the beretta factory and i got a lot of good pictures! we are going to go
again when they are doing a tour on one of our pdays though so ill take some
better ones then. Today we went to sermione for pday! it was BEAUTIFUL! now i
know why brescia is called the "Dirty-B". I would live there in a
heartbeat though. its right on the edge of laggo di garda and there is also a
really old castle with water surrounding it. it was awesome! while we were
there we were walking on the street and a girl runs up to us and asks "are
you guys mormons?!?!" in english. and we are like.........yea..... and she
kind of screams in joy and gives me and my companion, at the same time, a big
hug (which we really had no way of avoiding lol). she said "i know i
shouldnt hug you guys but i just cant help it i love mormons! she said she is a
mormon too and was baptized by missionaries and thats how she recognized us.
she is from croasia and is 25 and was with her friend who is not a member of
the church! she introduced him and he was interested to here more about us so
we kind of gave him a little lesson about the restoration and more about what
we believe in. he seemed super interested and we got his number and he said he
would really like to meet! It was so cool! i got a buch of great pictures...
which ill have to send next week because my camera just died...... i know im
really mad about it too actually because i got some really cool ones.
Well hey i really gotta go because its
late here and i have no more time to write, im really sorry i didnt get to
answer any questions!! super super super sorry but i will print them out and
