July 10, 2013

Hey Gang! This week has been so great! I love getting mail from all of you! Every week that goes by seems to get better and better, which seems impossible the week before! of course i can't wait to go to Italy, but it is such a great spiritual experience here at the mtc. i coudn't imagin going traight to italy without first being immersed in the spirit here with all of these amazing missionaries. I'm so grateful for all of you and your help and examples you set for me. I know i wouldn't be here today if it weren't for you. Every day here my testimony of the church gets more and more strengthened. I am so grateful for this once in a life time opportunity to serve a mission. I know that Heavenly Father called me as a missionary to the exact place where i need to be. I am so grateful for Him and i am so grateful for such a merciful God. it is interesting that "Out of all the titles of respect and honor and admiration that are given to a Diety, he has asked us to address him as Father". Kind of changes the way you think right? i got that quote from the lds.org site. It is by far my favorite website ever. i challenge all of you to at least watch 1 or 2 of the mormon messages a week. they are spiritually uplifting and really touch you heart if you let them.

Yup, I did have the opportunity to bear my testimony this past sunday. My companion and i both stood up at the same time right after the branch president oppened up the meeting to testimony meeting lol. I let him go first since he was closer to the edge of the row but i went up right after he finished his. and yes i bore it in italian :) It was so cool because our entire district but 2 people went up to bear their testimonies before anyone from another district bore theirs. I told you my district is amazing! Oh yea i am still the District Leader and i will be the entire time! I love it because i get to be the person to check the mail everyday lol. Um, on sundays in the morning i eat breakfast then go to district leadership meeting and tell them how our district is doing and all that then afterward i get about an hour to do some missionary portal things. then i go back to have another district meeting and learn how to become a better leader and example for the people around me. then we have priesthood and sacrament. after that our district has a district meeting which i have prepared during the week and have given out assignements for other people in our district to have a chance to participate. This last week was about the characters of christ and how we can become more like Him and work on some things that we may have troubles with. Christ turns "out" when the natural man would turn "in". Then later we get to here a devotional and this weeks devotional was about being bold but quit. they sound like opposites but they really do go hand in hand. reverance invites the spirit. and boldness testifies that what you are saying is true.

Dad it's funny that you brought up imitating people's voices because everyone in my district says i can make the best imitations of videos, movies, talks, and my best one is probably obama haha i don't know how but i can sound preeetttyyy similar lol you'd be surprised. That is awesome that Melissa is up here at BYU for EFY, i always loved going to EFY even though i went to the flagstaff one. i bet the one up here is so great tho! Her FHE group better not hit on her or ill have to break some rules and go over there myself!:) Um i'm pretty sure the steering wheel is in the truck, i never took it out, at least i don't think i did. Dallin that is so awesome that you scored 7 goals in your soccer game! keep it up and you'll get scholorships to play for college teams in no time haha! I always played defense but sometimes i wish i learned how to play offense. your lucky you are already so good! here at the mtc i play striker though. it is like playing a group of 14 year old girls lol. yea mom that's the only reason they scored 4. if i played defense i think we both know what the score would have been ;) Um the temple is closed because they need to clean it and im not sure why it takes so long but there is a reason for everything i guess ha. Oh, the story about Brother Jarvis was pretty funny i laughed haha. he is a really great guy! Kinda crazy that he had that much faith that he would see someone he knew at the store and would get a ride from whoever it was! No none of our visa's have come in yet and i don't think they will until the last week or the end of next week. Oh i also really enjoyed the story about the man who walked into a biker bar and asked if anyone would like to know more about the missionaries. that is so amazing that he baptised those people. I can't wait to have the Holy Ghost guide me to wherever i need to be in Italy and invite others to come unto Christ.

I have taken a few pictures by the way and i sent them to this E-mail address so i don't know why you haven't gotten them yet but i'll try to send some more before i leave the mtc. by the way, please tell me more about matt i wanna hear how he is doing :) I miss all you guys a lot but time is flying by and i'm sure the next 23 months will zoom past so im sure it wont feel like long till see you guys again :) Well, i love you all so much! Voi siete benissimo e  anche sempre in mi preghiere :)
