Hey
Gang! well it's my favorite day of the week, P-Day!!! Thank you for all of the
packages and Dear Elder's you guys have sent me they are so wonderful and very
much apreciated. I did get Granna and Bompa and Aunt nicoles cinnamon
roles/cookies but i didnt have an address to respond to so im hoping you will
let them know that i got them and now they are completely devoured :) Thanks so
much they were amazing! Dallin that is awesome that you pulled out your teeth
ALL BY YOURSELF! I got the pictures and i miss you so much little man. Good job
helping dad out at the office and paying tithing for the money you earned!
that's so great dude! What kind of dog does dad want to get?! It better not be
a husky otherwise i will be very upset that you didnt get it when i was home
haha. This week has been sooooo much better than the first. Things are getting
a lot easier and im starting to get into the habbit of going to bed at 10 30
and waking up at 6 30 (even though sometimes we have to get up at 6 to go to
the gym or do service projects). Everything is going great! The language is
still a bit of a challenge but it seems to be getting easier and easier. We
teach "Investigaters" every day and most of the time my companion and
i kill it! Yesterday was a rough one but only because when we challenged her to
read the book of mormon she said she couldn't read italian... awkwaaarrddd
haha. it was ok tho we finished with our testimonies and the spirit was strong.
Oh, one of my roommates, the funny asain one, sprained his ankle playing
basketball last thursday! It was baaad, it swole up and he had to use cruches
until today. It's getting a lot better but he still isn't able to play any
sports or run when we have gym time which really stinks because we all LOVE to
play soccer. Pretty much all the italian missionaries only play soccer during
gym time, even though none of them except for like 2 or 3 know how to ha. it's
really funny to play with everyone because we really dont take it tooo
seriously since we dont want to get into any arguements and its just weird for
me not to go 100% ya know what i mean? There is this one kid from chicago tho
and he is pretty much the stereotypical chicago kid to the T. (Loud, obnoxious,
dramatic, etc.). it is so funny though whenever he messes up or misses the goal
he will yell at the top of his loungs "NOOOOO!!!! DANG IT!!! I'M SORRY I
SUCK!!!" it's pretty funny but at the same time kinda weird ha. the other
night my roommates and a couple other kids from our district were talking in
our room and the chicago kid burst in the door with a vaccum on his back and
said, "Who you gunna call?! Ghost busters!" and he was like pointing
the suction thing at all of us haha we were pretty confused but now looking
back at it i cant help but laugh. Oh by the way sorry about my spelling,
learning this new language is really affecting my spelling haha it's so
noticable for me at least. Ok so funny story. Yesterday was devotional day
and the lady speaker was Sister Janice K perry who wrote a bunch of childrens
hymns. I think she is in her mid 70's but im not sure... Well she was
giving her talk and was telling us about how she and her husband first
met. They were up at school, im not sure where, but they were in the
same music class and she was warming up the reed of her flute. Then
she felt a nudge and she looked over and a guy, her future husband, said,
" You know, those lips look like they could be used for something more
than just warming up the reed of your flute". hahahaha it was so funny
everyone was laughing histerically. Then her husband got up from one of the
chairs behind her and started walking toward her giving the talk on the pulpit.
i thought he was going to deny ever saying that but when he came to her he
leaned in and gave her a huge kiss! and i mean it was HUGE hahaha. and right
after he looked toward the crowd and threw his fist in the air like a BOSS! it
was probably the funniest thing i have ever seen. it was also the first time i
have ever heard anyone clap while someone was giving a talk from the pulpit ha.
Well today i got to go to the temple and its the last time i'll be able to
for at least 2 years! really sad to think about :( it was an amazing experience
tho i love it so much!
Well, that is my funny story of the week. Not sure if anything that funny will
happen again but im sure hoping it will. Oh! i was so hoping that you guys
would see me on tv and im glad you did! i wasn't sure if you guys were going to
be watching or not but im really glad you did! Such great talks were given! i
was kinda sad that President Monson wasn't there though. everyone said he would
be so it was kind of a let down when he wasn't. but it's ok because it was such
an amazing experience. My companion was the person on my left. the person to my
right is also in my district though and so is ther person next to him. Sorry if
i didnt answer all of your questions im kinda of pressed on time. Oh! mom
please send me gummy snacks or froot role ups or stuff like that, i would love
you even more than i already do, which is kinda hard to do but i'll try ;)
Thanks for all of your prayers i can definitly see them in my life here at the
MTC. I've been so blessed to have a family as amazing as you guys. Oh please
don't send this to alexa becasue a lot of the stuff i wrote in here i also
wrote in a hand written letter to here which i just sent to her today. so dont
let her see this whatever you do haha. Thanks! I love you all so much and
you're always in my prayers!
-With
much love, Anziano Delgado
